Entry rules to Lebanon during the COVID-19 pandemic (from 15/02/2022)

Dear passengers, we would like to draw your attention to the updated rules for entering Lebanon during the COVID-19 pandemic (from 15/02/2022).

1. Registration on the MOPH PASS website.
All passengers arriving in Lebanon, with the exception of citizens of the Republic of Lebanon and children under 12 years years old, must register at https://PASS.MOPH.GOV.LB, making sure the information entered is correct prior to receiving the MOPH PASS.

2. Requirements for the PCR test and its uploading into the MOPH PASS system

All passengers arriving in Lebanon must undergo a PCR test at a certified laboratory, with the exception of citizens of the Republic of Lebanon, passengers who were vaccinated less than 6 months ago and children under 12 years of age. The test result must be no later than 48 hours from the moment it was received until the arrival in Lebanon. The PCR test must be uploaded by the passenger to the MOPH PASS platform, where a QR code will be generated and sent to the passenger in a text message with a link to download it. Upon arrival at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport, the QR code will be scanned to ensure that the passenger information is correct before being allowed to cross the border.

3. Mandatory PCR testing at the airport upon arrival in Lebanon.
All passengers arriving in Lebanon, with the exception of citizens of the Republic of Lebanon, children under 12 years age and United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon, must undergo a PCR test upon arrival at Beirut Rafik Hariri Airport.

4. The upcoming change in the prepayment method for the PCR test from January 10, 2022.
Starting January 10, 2022, the payment method for the PCR test performed at the Beirut Rafik Hariri Airport will be changed as follows:
All passengers arriving in Lebanon, with the exception of citizens of the Republic of Lebanon, children under 12 years age and United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon, must make a prepayment of USD 30 by credit card and this must be done exclusively through the above electronic platform in order to obtain a MOPH PASS, which will allow them to do a PCR test upon arrival at Beirut Rafik Hariri Airport.

5. Home quarantine for passengers arriving in Lebanon.
Passengers who have taken a PCR test upon arrival at Beirut Rafik Hariri Airport must remain in home quarantine, where they will be informed by the test result within 24 hours via a text message, as well as an electronic copy of the result.

6. In case of a positive PCR test result:
If the PCR test is positive, the passenger must immediately call the Ministry of Health's Covid-19 hotline 1787, in case he was not contacted by the ministry team.

Exceptions:

1. Passengers who received a second dose of Covid-19 vaccine or a vaccine consisting of only one dose, for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of 6 months prior to arrival in Lebanon, or passengers who have been infected and cured of Covid-19 within 90 days before the departure date, are exempted from performing PCR testing in the country of departure, but they must undergo a PCR test at Beirut Rafik Hariri Airport, provided they upload certificates and official documents proving this to the Ministry of Health platform to obtain the MOPH PASS.

MOPH PASS is not required for Lebanese citizens.

2. Passengers who departed Lebanon and return within one week, that is, those who traveled within one day of the week and return on the same day within the next week, will be exempted from the PCR test in the countries of departure, but shall perform PCR test at Beirut Rafik Hariri Airport upon arrival in Lebanon, provided that they upload certificates and official documents proving this to the Ministry of Health platform to receive the MOPH PASS.

MOPH PASS is not required for Lebanese citizens.
